A private transfer from Zlín to Prague covers 310 km — west to Otrokovice, a short run north on the D55 to Hulín, then the D1 past Kroměříž, Vyškov and Brno and across the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands to Prague — and takes approximately 3.5 hours door to door. The fixed fare starts at €480 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers; groups of up to 6 travel in the V-Class from €530; the S-Class is available from €790 for executive or VIP travel. Your chauffeur collects you at your Zlín hotel, office or home, and drops you at the door of your Prague hotel, meeting or Václav Havel Airport.

The fare is agreed before departure and does not change: fuel, the Czech motorway vignette, bottled water, Wi-Fi and child seats on request are included. Zlín has no direct fast train to Prague — with a private car there is no change at Otrokovice and nothing to arrange at the other end.

The Route

Zlín to Prague
across Moravia.

From a pickup among the red-brick Baťa buildings, at a hotel in the centre or at the university, your chauffeur heads west along the Dřevnice valley to Otrokovice and joins the D55 north to Hulín. There the route meets the D1 and turns west across the Haná plain, past Kroměříž and Vyškov. There is no border on this route — it stays inside the Czech Republic the whole way.

Around Brno the D1 swings onto its long westward stretch through the Vysočina: Velké Meziříčí, Jihlava, Humpolec, then the gentle descent into Central Bohemia and the south-eastern edge of Prague. Total distance is approximately 310 kilometres; driving time is three and a half hours in normal traffic, with Friday afternoons and Sunday evenings into Prague adding 20–30 minutes.

Your chauffeur checks the D1 before leaving Zlín. If there is a closure between Brno and Prague, they take the parallel roads around it without asking. A rest stop about halfway is part of the plan on a drive this long.

Anywhere you like

A winery, a viewpoint, a friend’s house on the way? Tell us at booking and we plan the stop in.

Prague

Drop-off at any Prague address, Prague main station or Václav Havel Airport (PRG) for an onward flight.

Good to know

Border crossing

No border crossing — the whole route is inside the Czech Republic.

Tolls

The Czech motorway vignette is included in the quoted price.

Rail connection

Zlín is not on a main rail line, so trains to Prague start with a change at Otrokovice. A private transfer avoids that change.

Return transfer

Travelling back to Zlín later? Book both directions together for the same day and the return leg is 10% off.

Stops on the Way

A long drive,
well spent.

Three and a half hours from Zlín to Prague leaves room for a stop or two. These are the ones that fit the route best.

Kroměříž, the Archbishop’s Gardens

Half an hour from Zlín, Kroměříž has the Archbishop’s Château and the formal Flower Garden, both UNESCO-listed. An hour on foot, then back on the D1 towards Brno and Prague.

Slavkov u Brna — Austerlitz

Just off the D1 before Brno, the baroque château at Slavkov is where the armistice after the 1805 battle was signed. A short visit and a coffee, then the long westward stretch to Prague.

Telč, the Renaissance Square

Leave the D1 at Jihlava for Telč and its long square of arcaded Renaissance houses, a UNESCO site. An hour for a walk and lunch, then back to the motorway and into Prague by early evening.

Stops are planned at booking and priced by the extra time and distance — tell us where you would like to stop and we confirm a firm quote before you book. A short coffee or rest stop on the motorway is always included.

The Chauffeur

What to expect
from your driver.

Your chauffeur arrives at your Zlín address at the agreed time and loads the luggage. If you are leaving a spa hotel in Luhačovice, they come to the hotel entrance, not to a meeting point down the road.

Three and a half hours is long enough to finish a report, take calls or sleep. Your chauffeur keeps the cabin quiet unless you want to talk. Questions about Prague — your hotel’s neighbourhood, how far the Castle is, how early to leave for the airport — are welcome.

Water, a charger and Wi-Fi are already in the back. Around halfway there is a proper rest stop for coffee and a stretch. In Prague your chauffeur stops at the door and carries your bags to reception.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a private transfer from Zlín to Prague take?

Approximately 3.5 hours door to door: west to Otrokovice, the D55 to Hulín, then the D1 through Brno and the Vysočina to Prague. Friday afternoon or Sunday evening traffic into Prague can add 20–30 minutes.

How much is a taxi or chauffeur from Zlín to Prague?

A fixed fare from €480 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers, €530 in the V-Class for up to 6, or €790 in the S-Class. Fuel, the Czech motorway vignette and driver time are included. The price is per car, not per person.

Can you pick us up from a hotel or spa outside Zlín?

Yes. Your chauffeur can collect you from any address in Zlín or from nearby towns such as Luhačovice or Otrokovice. Give us the address at booking and we confirm the fixed fare for that pickup point.

Is a private transfer better than the train or bus from Zlín to Prague?

Zlín has no direct fast train to Prague; most rail journeys start with a connection to Otrokovice, and there are also long-distance buses. For a solo traveller with light luggage, public transport is the cheaper option. A private transfer is door to door with no change, leaves when you want and costs the same for one passenger or three.

Can we stop on the way from Zlín to Prague?

Yes. Kroměříž, Slavkov u Brna, Brno and Telč are the most popular stops. Tell us at booking and we include the stop in a fixed quote. A short coffee or rest break is always included at no extra cost.

Can you drive us from Zlín straight to Prague Airport?

Yes. Give us your flight time and we set the pickup with a comfortable margin for D1 traffic. Your chauffeur drops you at Departures at Václav Havel Airport, without a stop in the city unless you ask for one.
