A private transfer from Brno to Prague covers 205 km on a single motorway — the D1, west across the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands past Velké Meziříčí, Jihlava and Humpolec — and takes approximately 2.5 hours door to door. The fixed fare starts at €320 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers; groups of up to 6 travel in the V-Class from €350; the S-Class is available from €525 for executive or VIP travel. Your chauffeur collects you at your Brno hotel, office, the Exhibition Centre, Brno hlavní nádraží or Brno–Tuřany Airport, and drops you at the door of your Prague hotel, apartment or meeting.
The fare is fixed when you book: fuel, the Czech motorway vignette, bottled water, Wi-Fi and child seats on request are all included. No platform, no connection to make, no taxi to find when you reach Prague.
The Route
Brno to Prague
in two and a half hours.
From a pickup in the centre below Špilberk, at a hotel near the Exhibition Centre or at Brno–Tuřany, your chauffeur joins the D1 on the western edge of the city and climbs out of the Moravian lowland towards Velké Meziříčí. There is no border on this route. The whole drive stays inside the Czech Republic, on one motorway, with one vignette.
The middle of the journey crosses the Vysočina — the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands — past Jihlava and Humpolec, open country of fields, forest and small hills. After Humpolec the road descends gradually into Central Bohemia and runs straight into the south-eastern side of Prague. Total distance is approximately 205 kilometres; driving time is two and a half hours in normal traffic. Sunday evenings and Friday afternoons into Prague are the busiest times and can add 20–30 minutes.
Your chauffeur checks the D1 before leaving Brno. If there is an accident or a closure in the highlands, they leave the motorway and use the parallel roads without asking. You reach Prague in time for an afternoon meeting, a check-in or an evening flight from Václav Havel Airport.

Stops on the Way
Break the drive
in the highlands.
The D1 between Brno and Prague passes close to three UNESCO-listed sites. Each one turns a two-and-a-half-hour transfer into a short day out.
Zelená Hora, Žďár nad Sázavou
A short detour north from Velké Meziříčí leads to the Pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk on Zelená hora — Santini’s star-shaped baroque church, a UNESCO site. Forty-five minutes on the hill, then back to the D1 and on to Prague.

Telč, the Renaissance Square
Leave the D1 at Jihlava and drive south to Telč, where a long square of arcaded Renaissance houses leads to the château gate. An hour for a walk and coffee, then back north to the motorway and into Prague by late afternoon.

Kutná Hora on the Way In
The silver town of Kutná Hora lies north of the D1, roughly an hour of extra driving on the route. Visit the Cathedral of St Barbara and the Sedlec Ossuary, then reach Prague in about an hour from the town.

Stops are planned at booking and priced by the extra time and distance — tell us where you would like to stop and we confirm a firm quote before you book. A short coffee or rest stop on the motorway is always included.
The Chauffeur
What to expect
from your driver.
Your chauffeur is waiting at your Brno address when you come down, or inside the Arrivals hall at Brno–Tuřany with a name board. After a trade fair at the Exhibition Centre, they meet you at the gate you agree on, not somewhere across the car park.
Two and a half hours is enough time to answer email, prepare for a Prague meeting or simply rest. Your chauffeur keeps the cabin quiet unless you start the conversation. If you want to know which Prague district your hotel is in, or how long it takes from there to the Castle, ask.
Water, a charger and Wi-Fi are ready in the back. A coffee stop in the highlands is part of the drive if you want one. In Prague your chauffeur pulls up at the entrance and takes your luggage in to reception.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a private transfer from Brno to Prague take?
Approximately 2.5 hours door to door, all on the D1 motorway west through the Vysočina. Friday afternoon and Sunday evening traffic into Prague can add 20–30 minutes.
How much is a taxi or chauffeur from Brno to Prague?
A fixed fare from €320 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers, €350 in the V-Class for up to 6, or €525 in the S-Class. Fuel, the Czech motorway vignette and driver time are included. The price is per car, not per person.
Can you pick me up at Brno Airport or Brno main station?
Yes. At Brno–Tuřany Airport your chauffeur tracks your flight and waits inside Arrivals with your name, with 60 minutes of free waiting. At Brno hlavní nádraží they meet you at an agreed point outside the station. Either way, you drive straight to your Prague address.
Is a private transfer better than the train from Brno to Prague?
The direct train takes around two and a half hours station to station and is the cheaper choice for one person with light luggage. A private transfer takes about the same time but runs from your Brno door to your Prague door, leaves when you want and costs the same for one passenger or three — which makes it the easier option for families, groups and anyone with heavy bags.
Can we stop on the way from Brno to Prague?
Yes. Jihlava, Telč, Zelená hora at Žďár nad Sázavou and Kutná Hora are the usual requests. Tell us at booking and we include the stop in a fixed quote. A short coffee or rest break is always included at no extra cost.
Can you collect us from the Brno Exhibition Centre after a trade fair?
Yes. Give us the hall or gate and the time your fair closes. Your chauffeur meets you there and drives you straight to Prague. During large fairs the roads around the Exhibition Centre are busy, so we plan the pickup point with you in advance.
