A private transfer from Ostrava to Prague covers 370 km on the D1 — south-west out of Moravia-Silesia, across central Moravia to Brno, then west over the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands to Prague — and takes approximately 4 hours door to door. The fixed fare starts at €575 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers; groups of up to 6 travel in the V-Class from €635; the S-Class is available from €945 for executive or VIP travel. Your chauffeur collects you at your Ostrava hotel or office, at Ostrava hlavní nádraží or Ostrava-Svinov, or inside Arrivals at Leoš Janáček Airport, and drops you at your Prague door.
The price is set at booking: fuel, the Czech motorway vignette, bottled water, Wi-Fi and child seats on request are included. One car the whole way — no connection, no luggage on a platform, nothing to arrange when you arrive in Prague.
The Route
Ostrava to Prague
in four hours.
From a pickup near Stodolní, at Dolní Vítkovice or at one of the city’s stations, your chauffeur joins the D1 on the south-western side of Ostrava. Leoš Janáček Airport at Mošnov sits just off this stretch, so an airport pickup does not need a detour into the city. There is no border on this route — although Ostrava is close to both Poland and Slovakia, the drive to Prague stays inside the Czech Republic.
The motorway runs south-west through the Moravian Gate past Hranice, then across the open Haná plain past Přerov and Kroměříž to Vyškov and Brno. From Brno it is the long westward stretch through the Vysočina — Velké Meziříčí, Jihlava, Humpolec — and down into Central Bohemia. Total distance is approximately 370 kilometres; driving time is four hours in normal traffic.
Your chauffeur checks the D1 before leaving Ostrava. If there is roadwork or an accident in the highlands, they take the parallel roads around it without asking. On a four-hour drive a proper rest stop is part of the plan, and Friday afternoons or Sunday evenings into Prague can add 20–30 minutes.

The Chauffeur
What to expect
from your driver.
Your chauffeur is at your Ostrava address when you are ready to leave, or inside the Arrivals hall at Leoš Janáček Airport with a name board. From Mošnov the D1 is minutes away, so you are on the road to Prague almost at once.
Four hours is a working afternoon. Your chauffeur keeps the cabin quiet and lets you set the tone. If you want to know about Prague — which district your hotel is in, how long to allow for the airport, where the evening traffic builds — just ask.
Water, a charger and Wi-Fi are ready in the rear cabin. A rest stop around halfway is included, for coffee and a few minutes outside the car. In Prague the car stops at your entrance and your bags go in with you.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a private transfer from Ostrava to Prague take?
Approximately 4 hours door to door, almost all of it on the D1 through Brno and the Vysočina. Friday afternoon or Sunday evening traffic into Prague can add 20–30 minutes.
How much is a taxi or chauffeur from Ostrava to Prague?
A fixed fare from €575 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers, €635 in the V-Class for up to 6, or €945 in the S-Class. Fuel, the Czech motorway vignette and driver time are included. The price is per car, not per person.
Can you pick me up at Ostrava Airport and drive straight to Prague?
Yes. Give us your flight number when you book. Your chauffeur tracks the landing, waits inside Arrivals at Leoš Janáček Airport with your name and has 60 minutes of free waiting. The airport is next to the D1, so you head straight for Prague without going into Ostrava.
Is a private transfer better than the train from Ostrava to Prague?
The direct train takes a little over three hours station to station and is the cheaper choice for one person with light luggage. A private transfer takes about four hours but runs from your door to your Prague address, leaves when you want, carries everything and costs the same for one passenger or three — the better fit for families, groups and heavy luggage.
Can we stop on the way from Ostrava to Prague?
Yes. Štramberk, Olomouc and Brno are the usual requests. Tell us at booking and we include the stop in a fixed quote. A short coffee or rest break is always included at no extra cost.
Can you collect us from Dolní Vítkovice after an event or Colours of Ostrava?
Yes. Tell us the event and the time you want to leave. During festival days the streets around Dolní Vítkovice are busy, so we agree an exact pickup point with you in advance and your chauffeur waits there.
