A private transfer from Prague to Berlin covers 350 km via the D8 and A17 motorways and takes approximately 4 hours door to door. Fixed fare starts at €580 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers; groups of up to 6 travel in the V-Class from €665; the S-Class is available from €860 for executive or VIP travel. Every booking includes the driver's time, fuel, Czech and German motorway vignettes, bottled water, onboard Wi-Fi, phone charger, and child seats on request at no extra cost. Nothing is added at drop-off. The fare is agreed before departure and does not change regardless of traffic or waiting time at your destination. Stops en route — Dresden or Cottbus — are available at the fixed fare when arranged at booking. Your chauffeur monitors traffic before every departure and reroutes without asking if there is a delay.

This is not a shared shuttle. Not a ride-hail app. A private Mercedes, one chauffeur, and a fare that does not change.

The Route

Prague to Berlin
in four hours.

From a Prague pickup in Old Town, Vinohrady, Malá Strana, or Václav Havel Airport, your chauffeur takes the D8 motorway north through Ústí nad Labem and toward the Czech–German border. The crossing at Hřensko and Schönwald is invisible inside the Schengen Area — no stops, no document checks, just a quiet transition from Bohemian forest into the Saxon foothills. The road becomes the A17, sweeps around Dresden, and joins the A13 for the long northbound leg through Brandenburg into Berlin.

Total distance is approximately 350 kilometres. Driving time is four hours in normal conditions, with a single coffee stop included if you want one. Drop-off can be anywhere in the city — Mitte for the cultural core, Charlottenburg for the elegant west, or directly at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) for an onward flight. Tegel is closed and has been since 2020; we mention it because clients still ask.

Your chauffeur watches traffic on the D8 and the A13 before every departure. There has been recurring construction on the A13 between Dresden and Cottbus over the past two years; if a closure is flagged, the route diverts via the A4 and the A15 without asking. You are not paying for traffic; you are paying for time.

Trip Configurations

Popular Berlin
configurations.

Berlin is a four-hour run each way, which means a same-day round trip is possible but heavy. Most Prestigo clients book the route as an overnight. Three configurations cover the majority of requests.

The Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag

For overnight visits. Pickup in Prague at 7:00, arrive Berlin Mitte by 11:00. Brandenburger Tor, the Reichstag dome (book the slot in advance), Unter den Linden, and dinner near Gendarmenmarkt. Return the following morning.

From €850 — based on round-trip with overnight in Berlin.

The Museum Island morning

For overnight visits. Pickup at 6:30, arrive Museum Island by 10:30. Pergamon, Neues Museum, and the Berliner Dom across the morning. Lunch in Mitte before the chauffeur takes you to your hotel for the night.

From €850 — based on round-trip with overnight in Berlin.

The Charlottenburg express

For tight day-trip schedules. Pickup at 5:30, arrive Charlottenburg Palace 9:30, three hours on site, lunch nearby, and back in Prague by 21:00. Long, but possible if the day is firmly anchored on one venue.

From €950 — based on three hours on site, same-day round trip.

Indicative prices based on the scenarios above. The final fare depends on the actual time spent on site. You can book the journey there and back with a 10% same-day return discount, or add hourly city rental from €40/hour if you need the chauffeur to move around the city with you. Tell us your plan and we confirm a firm quote before you book.

The Chauffeur

What to expect
from your driver.

Your chauffeur will meet you in front of your pickup address — not in a parking lot across the street, not at an airport meeting point a ten-minute walk away. If you are at Václav Havel Airport, they are inside the arrivals hall with a Prestigo tablet displaying your name. On the return leg from Berlin Brandenburg Airport, the same applies: arrivals hall, name board, no scavenger hunt across Terminal 1.

Conversation is a choice. If you want a quiet cabin for four hours of work, sleep, or reading, the chauffeur will read that signal and let you be. If you want context on the city you are heading into — the long arc of the Wall and reunification, the weight that capital status brought back to Berlin in the nineties, why Charlottenburg and Mitte feel like different cities — your chauffeur knows it.

Phone charger, bottled water, and WiFi are already in the cabin. If you need a specific temperature in the rear, say so. If you want to stop for coffee at the Wertherbruch services on the A13 just inside Brandenburg, that is included. The four hours should land you in Berlin rested, not assembled at the kerb.

Why Prestigo

Why book with Prestigo
for Prague to Berlin.

Fixed fare, no surprises

The price you see is the price you pay. Fuel, tolls, the German vignette, driver time. Nothing added at drop-off in Berlin.

Owned fleet, vetted chauffeurs

Prestigo operates its own Mercedes fleet. Every vehicle under three years old. Every chauffeur background-checked, bilingual, trained for the long international run to Berlin and back.

Anticipatory service

If the A13 has a closure outside Dresden, your chauffeur reroutes via Cottbus without asking. If your flight into BER is delayed by an hour, the return pickup is shifted without a phone call. You should not have to manage the trip — that is the job.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a private transfer from Prague to Berlin take?

Approximately 4 hours door-to-door via the D8 motorway north through Ústí nad Labem, the A17 around Dresden, and the A13 north to Berlin. Friday afternoon rush hour out of Prague or construction near Lovosice can add 20–30 minutes.

How much does a chauffeur from Prague to Berlin cost?

Fixed fare from €580 in Mercedes E-Class (up to 3 passengers), €665 in V-Class (up to 6 passengers), or €860 in S-Class. Prices include fuel, all tolls, the German vignette, and driver time. No hidden charges.

Can I book a same-day round trip from Prague to Berlin?

Yes, but most clients prefer an overnight. A same-day round trip means roughly eight hours on the road plus your time in Berlin — possible, but heavy. If you do book it, the return leg receives a 10% discount. If you need the chauffeur to move around with you, add hourly city rental from €40/hour. We are happy to advise based on your meeting schedule.

Do you cross the German border without problems?

Both countries are inside the Schengen Area. There are no routine border checks at Hřensko/Schönwald. All Prestigo vehicles carry the German toll vignette and the chauffeur holds a valid international chauffeur licence recognised in Germany.

Is a child seat available?

Yes. Rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing toddler seats, and booster seats are available at no extra cost. Please specify your child's age at booking so the correct seat is installed before pickup.

Can the chauffeur speak German?

A German-speaking chauffeur is available on request and recommended for the Berlin route. Every Prestigo chauffeur speaks fluent English and Czech as standard.
