A private transfer from Warsaw to Prague covers about 660 km — southwest on the S8 expressway, south on the A1 past Częstochowa, across the Czech border near Ostrava, then the D1 motorway through Moravia to Prague — and takes around seven hours door to door, with breaks. The fixed fare starts at €1025 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers; groups of up to 6 travel in the V-Class from €1130; the S-Class is available from €1685 for executive or VIP travel. Your chauffeur collects you from your hotel in Śródmieście, from Warszawa Centralna or from Arrivals at Warsaw Chopin Airport, and drops you at the door in Prague.

The fare is agreed before departure and stays fixed: fuel, motorway tolls, the Czech vignette, bottled water, Wi-Fi and child seats on request are all included. It is a long day, but one car, one chauffeur and no changes from your Warsaw door to your Prague address.

The Route

Warsaw to Prague
in a single day.

From a pickup in the city centre, near the Old Town or at Warsaw Chopin Airport, your chauffeur leaves Warsaw southwest on the S8 expressway toward Piotrków Trybunalski, where the route joins the A1 motorway heading south. The A1 runs past Częstochowa and the Upper Silesian cities to the Czech border near Ostrava.

The crossing sits inside the Schengen Area: no routine check, no queue. On the Czech side the D1 motorway carries on across Moravia — past Přerov and on via Brno or Olomouc — and enters Prague from the southeast. An alternative line runs west via Wrocław and the Kłodzko valley to Náchod and the D11; your chauffeur picks the faster route on the morning of travel. Total distance is approximately 660 kilometres; driving time is about seven hours including short breaks.

Your chauffeur plans the rest stops before you set off and checks traffic on the A1 and D1 as the day goes on. Leave Warsaw after breakfast and you are in Prague for dinner, with no luggage to manage and no station to find.

A long route has room for more. Name a town, a restaurant or a viewpoint at booking.

Good to know

Polish–Czech Schengen border near Ostrava, or at Kudowa-Zdrój/Náchod on the western route. No routine passport check — non-EU passengers should still carry their passport and visa.

Tolls

Polish motorway tolls on the way and the Czech motorway vignette are included in the quoted price.

Airport pickup

Give us your flight number. Your chauffeur tracks the landing at Warsaw Chopin Airport and the first 60 minutes of waiting are free.

Stops on the Way

A long road,
well broken up.

Seven hours is best taken with a proper break or two. These three stops fit the route between Warsaw and Prague.

Jasna Góra, Częstochowa

Leave Warsaw at 8:00 and reach Częstochowa in around two and a half hours. An hour at the Jasna Góra monastery and its chapel, then south on the A1 toward the Czech border.

Olomouc comes up in the Moravian stretch of the drive. Ninety minutes for lunch on the Upper Square by the Holy Trinity Column, then around two and a half hours on to Prague.

Stops are planned at booking and priced by the extra time and distance — tell us where you would like to stop and we confirm a firm quote before you book. Short coffee and rest stops on the way are always included.

The Chauffeur

What to expect
from your driver.

Your chauffeur arrives at your Warsaw door at the agreed time and loads everything — useful on a route people often take with more luggage than a flight allows. At Warsaw Chopin Airport they wait inside Arrivals with your name.

A full day in the car needs a good rhythm. Your chauffeur plans breaks at sensible intervals and keeps the cabin quiet when you are working or resting. Toward the end, if you want to know about Prague — your neighbourhood, a good first walk, where to eat — ask.

Water, charger and Wi-Fi are on board all the way. Ask for a longer lunch, a different stop or a warmer cabin and it is done. In Prague the bags go to the door with you.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a private transfer from Warsaw to Prague take?

About seven hours door to door including short breaks: the S8 and A1 south through Poland, across the border near Ostrava, then the D1 through Moravia to Prague. Longer stops for lunch or sightseeing add to that.

How much is a taxi or chauffeur from Warsaw to Prague?

A fixed fare from €1025 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers, €1130 in the V-Class for up to 6, or €1685 in the S-Class. Fuel, Polish motorway tolls, the Czech vignette and the chauffeur’s time are included — per car, not per person.

Can you pick me up at Warsaw Chopin Airport and drive me straight to Prague?

Yes. Give us your flight number when you book. Your chauffeur tracks the landing, waits inside Arrivals at Chopin with your name and drives you directly to your Prague address.

Is a private transfer better than flying or taking the train from Warsaw to Prague?

For one person with light luggage, a flight is faster and the train is cheaper — we say so plainly. A private transfer makes sense for families, groups, pets, heavy luggage or a relocation: no baggage limits, no airport at either end, door to door, and the same fare for one passenger or three.

Can we stop on the way from Warsaw to Prague?

Yes. Częstochowa, Olomouc and Wrocław are the usual choices. Tell us at booking and we include the stop in a fixed quote. Short coffee and rest breaks are always included.

Do I need my passport between Poland and the Czech Republic?

Both countries are in the Schengen Area, so there is no routine border control. Carry your passport or EU ID card anyway — spot checks happen, and non-EU travellers must have their documents with them.
