A private transfer from Kraków to Prague covers about 530 km — west on the A4 toll motorway past Katowice to Gliwice, south on the A1 to the Czech border at Gorzyczki–Věřňovice, then the D1 motorway past Ostrava and Brno to Prague — and takes around five and a half hours door to door. The fixed fare starts at €820 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers; groups of up to 6 travel in the V-Class from €905; the S-Class is available from €1350 for executive or VIP travel. Your chauffeur collects you from your hotel in Stare Miasto or Kazimierz, from Kraków Główny or from Arrivals at Kraków Airport, and drops you at the door of your Prague hotel, apartment or meeting.
The fare is fixed before you travel: fuel, the A4 toll, the Czech motorway vignette, bottled water, Wi-Fi and child seats on request are all included. No early train, no change of platform, no taxi to find at Prague’s main station.
The Route
Kraków to Prague
in about five and a half hours.
From a pickup near the Rynek Główny, below Wawel or at Kraków Airport in Balice, your chauffeur joins the A4 heading west. The stretch to Katowice is a toll motorway — the toll is already in your fare. At Gliwice the route turns south on the A1 through Upper Silesia toward the Czech border near Ostrava.
The crossing is inside the Schengen Area: no routine check, no queue. The motorway crosses at Gorzyczki–Věřňovice. On the Czech side the D1 runs past Ostrava and southwest across Moravia — through the Moravian Gate, past Přerov to Brno — then northwest over the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands to Prague, entering the city from the southeast. Total distance is approximately 530 kilometres; driving time is about five and a half hours, longer on a Friday afternoon.
Your chauffeur checks the A4 and the D1 before departure and chooses the faster line on the day. You reach Prague in time to settle in, walk the riverbank and have dinner in Malá Strana.

The Chauffeur
What to expect
from your driver.
Your chauffeur meets you at the door of your Kraków hotel — in Kazimierz or the Old Town that sometimes means a short walk to where cars may stop, and they carry the bags for it. At Kraków Airport they wait inside Arrivals with your name.
Five and a half hours is a good stretch to work, rest or talk. Your chauffeur reads which one you want. If you would like advice on Prague — where to walk first, which hotel entrance to use, how to get to the Castle before the crowds — they are the right person to ask.
Water, charger and Wi-Fi are in the back. A coffee near Ostrava or a pause in Olomouc is yours for the asking. In Prague your luggage goes into the hotel with you.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a private transfer from Kraków to Prague take?
About five and a half hours door to door: the A4 west past Katowice to Gliwice, the A1 south to the border at Gorzyczki–Věřňovice, then the D1 past Ostrava and Brno into Prague. Friday afternoon traffic can add 20–30 minutes.
How much is a taxi or chauffeur from Kraków to Prague?
A fixed fare from €820 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers, €905 in the V-Class for up to 6, or €1350 in the S-Class. Fuel, the Polish motorway tolls, the Czech vignette and the chauffeur’s time are included — per car, not per person.
Can you pick me up at Kraków Airport and drive me straight to Prague?
Yes. Give us your flight number when you book. Your chauffeur tracks the landing, waits inside Arrivals at Kraków Airport with your name and drives you directly to your Prague address — no need to go into Kraków first.
Is a private transfer better than the train from Kraków to Prague?
Direct trains run, but the daytime journey takes considerably longer than the drive, and the other option is the overnight sleeper. For a solo traveller with light bags the train is the cheaper choice. A private car is door to door, leaves when you want and costs the same for one passenger or three.
Can we stop on the way from Kraków to Prague?
Yes. Wieliczka, the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Olomouc are the most common stops. Tell us at booking and we include the stop in a fixed quote. A short coffee or rest break is always included.
Do I need my passport between Poland and the Czech Republic?
Both countries are in the Schengen Area, so there is no routine border control. Carry your passport or EU ID card anyway — spot checks happen, and non-EU travellers must have their documents with them.
