This is not a shared shuttle. Not a ride-hail app. A private Mercedes, one chauffeur, and a fare that does not change.

The Route

Prague to Český Krumlov
in two and a half hours.

From a Prague pickup in Old Town, Vinohrady, Malá Strana, or Václav Havel Airport, your chauffeur takes Highway 3 and the E55 south through the rolling farmland of Central Bohemia. The D3 motorway is only partially finished — the middle section from Mezno through Tábor and around the České Budějovice bypass opened in late 2024, but the northern stretch into Prague is still under construction. Your chauffeur uses the parallel Highway 3 until it joins the motorway, then runs the D3 all the way past České Budějovice before dropping onto the 39 for the final approach to Český Krumlov.

Total distance is approximately 175 kilometres, all inside the Czech Republic — no border crossing, no second vignette. Driving time is two and a half hours in normal conditions. Your drop-off point is the UNESCO Old Town on the Vltava horseshoe bend, beneath the Castle complex and across from the Egon Schiele Art Centrum and the Latrán quarter.

One seasonal note — in summer, parking inside the Old Town is restricted and every approach road is congested. Your chauffeur drops you at the most accessible permitted point near the historic core and collects you from the same spot when you are ready. You are not paying for traffic; you are paying for time.

Day Trips from Prague

Popular day-trip
configurations.

Český Krumlov is the most-requested day-trip destination from Prague, and the two-and-a-half-hour each way timing makes it an ideal full-day run. Three configurations cover most of what Prestigo clients ask for.

The Castle and Old Town Day

Pickup at 8:00, arrive Český Krumlov around 10:30. A guided walk through the Castle complex — the Upper Castle, the Baroque Theatre, the Castle Gardens — followed by lunch in the Old Town below the Vltava bend. Return to Prague by 18:00.

From €600 — based on five hours on site.

The Schiele Art Centrum and Latrán Afternoon

Later pickup at 9:30 for a focused afternoon at the Egon Schiele Art Centrum, followed by an unhurried walk through the Latrán quarter on the far bank of the Vltava. Coffee, galleries, and river views before the drive back.

From €550 — based on four hours on site.

The Vltava Raft and Lunch

A morning departure for a midday rafting loop through the Old Town on the Vltava, then lunch at a riverside restaurant with the Castle on the skyline. Your chauffeur handles the handoff between the put-in point and the pickup pier.

From €650 — based on six hours on site.

Indicative prices based on the scenarios above. The final fare depends on the actual time spent on site. You can book the journey there and back with a 10% same-day return discount, or add hourly city rental from €40/hour if you need the chauffeur to move around the city with you. Tell us your plan and we confirm a firm quote before you book.

The Chauffeur

What to expect
from your driver.

Your chauffeur will meet you at Václav Havel Airport or any central Prague address — at the door, not in a parking lot across the street. If you are in arrivals, they are inside the terminal with a Prestigo tablet displaying your name.

Conversation is a choice. If you want a quiet cabin for two and a half hours of rest or work, the chauffeur will read that signal and let you be. If you want context on Český Krumlov — the UNESCO World Heritage listing in 1992, the Rosenberg family who held the Castle for three centuries, Egon Schiele's brief exile from Vienna in 1911, the unusual geography of the Vltava horseshoe that shaped the Old Town — your chauffeur knows it.

Phone charger, bottled water, and WiFi are already in the cabin. If you need a specific temperature in the rear cabin, say so. If you want to stop for coffee at one of the rest areas on the D3/E55 corridor near Tábor or Mirošovice, that is included.
