A few streets west sits the Budějovický Budvar brewery, the original Budweiser source since 1895. South Bohemian Museum, Hluboká Castle ten kilometres north, and the Šumava National Park gateway are all reachable from the same drop-off.

Total distance is approximately 155 kilometres. Driving time is two hours in normal conditions. Friday afternoons out of Prague can add 15–20 minutes near the D1 junction.
