A private transfer from Karlovy Vary to Prague covers 130 km — out of the spa valley and east along the D6 across the Bohemian plateau into the western edge of Prague — and takes approximately 1.5 hours door to door. The fixed fare starts at €200 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers; groups of up to 6 travel in the V-Class from €220; the S-Class is available from €330 for executive or VIP travel. Your chauffeur collects you at your spa hotel, apartment or office in Karlovy Vary, and drops you at your Prague hotel, your meeting or the departures hall at Václav Havel Airport.
The fare is set before you travel and stays the same: fuel, the Czech motorway vignette, bottled water, Wi-Fi and child seats on request are all included. After a week of treatments or a festival programme, there is nothing left to organise — no bus timetable, no taxi rank at the other end.
The Route
Karlovy Vary to Prague
in ninety minutes.
From a pickup in the spa quarter along the Teplá, at the Grandhotel Pupp or in the newer part of town, your chauffeur climbs out of the valley and joins the D6 heading east. The road runs through open West Bohemian farmland and forest past Lubenec and Nové Strašecí. The whole journey stays inside the Czech Republic — no border, no second vignette, no document check.
Total distance is approximately 130 kilometres; driving time is one and a half hours in normal conditions. The D6 has been upgraded to motorway standard section by section, and a few stretches still carry roadworks. Your chauffeur checks the road before departure and uses the older parallel road where a works zone would slow you down.
The D6 enters Prague on its western side, close to Václav Havel Airport — if you are flying out, the terminal is minutes from the end of the motorway. For the city centre, allow another 20–30 minutes through Břevnov or Dejvice to Malá Strana, the Old Town or Vinohrady, depending on the time of day.

Stops on the Way
Break the drive
where it suits you.
Ninety minutes is a short run, but there is a lot of West and Central Bohemia along it. Three stops cover most of the requests we get on the way from Karlovy Vary to Prague.
Loket Castle on the Ohře
Leave your hotel at 9:00 and spend an hour in Loket — the castle above the river bend and the small square below it. Back on the D6 by late morning and in Prague in time for lunch.

Stops are planned at booking and priced by the extra time and distance — tell us where you would like to stop and we confirm a firm quote before you book. A short coffee or rest stop on the motorway is always included.
The Chauffeur
What to expect
from your driver.
Your chauffeur arrives at the entrance of your Karlovy Vary hotel, not at a car park down the hill. Bags go from the reception desk into the boot, and you leave when you are ready — after a last glass from the springs, if you like.
The cabin is quiet unless you want it otherwise. Ninety minutes is enough for a call, a nap after an early treatment, or a few questions about Prague — which neighbourhood your hotel is in, where to eat near it, how long to allow for the airport.
Water, charger and Wi-Fi are ready in the back. If you want a stop for coffee halfway, say so. In Prague your chauffeur carries the luggage to reception or to the check-in area at the airport, not just to the kerb.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a private transfer from Karlovy Vary to Prague take?
Approximately 1 hour 30 minutes door to door on the D6. The motorway ends near Václav Havel Airport; the Prague city centre is another 20–30 minutes depending on traffic.
How much is a taxi or chauffeur from Karlovy Vary to Prague?
A fixed fare from €200 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers, €220 in the V-Class for up to 6, or €330 in the S-Class. The price includes fuel, the Czech vignette and driver time — it is per car, not per person.
Can you collect me from my spa hotel in Karlovy Vary?
Yes. Give us the hotel name and the time you want to leave. Your chauffeur comes to the hotel entrance and helps with the luggage. Where cars cannot reach the door in the spa quarter, they meet you at the nearest permitted point and carry the bags from there.
Is a private transfer better than the bus or train from Karlovy Vary to Prague?
Direct buses take around two hours from the bus station to Prague, and the train is slower. For a solo traveller with light luggage, the bus is cheaper. A private transfer is door to door, leaves when you want, takes all your luggage and costs the same for one passenger or three.
Can we stop on the way from Karlovy Vary to Prague?
Yes. Loket, the Krušovice brewery and the Lidice Memorial are the most popular stops. Tell us at booking and we include the stop in a fixed quote. A short coffee or rest break is always included.
Can you take me straight to Prague Airport for a flight?
Yes. The D6 ends close to Václav Havel Airport, so the airport is the quickest Prague drop-off on this route. Tell us your flight time and we set a departure that gets you to the terminal with time to spare.
