A private transfer from Prague to Dresden covers 150 km via the D8 and A17 motorways and takes approximately 1.5 hours door to door. Fixed fare starts at €250 in a Mercedes E-Class for up to 3 passengers; groups of up to 6 travel in the V-Class from €285; the S-Class is available from €370 for executive or VIP travel. Every booking includes the driver's time, fuel, Czech and German motorway vignettes, bottled water, onboard Wi-Fi, phone charger, and child seats on request at no extra cost. Nothing is added at drop-off. The fare is agreed before departure and does not change regardless of traffic or waiting time at your destination. Stops en route — Ústí nad Labem or the Elbe valley viewpoint — are available at the fixed fare when arranged at booking. Your chauffeur monitors traffic before every departure and reroutes without asking if there is a delay.

This is not a shared shuttle. Not a ride-hail app. A private Mercedes, one chauffeur, and a fare that does not change.

The Route

Prague to Dresden
in two hours.

From a Prague pickup in Old Town, Vinohrady, Malá Strana, or the airport, your chauffeur takes the D8 motorway north through Ústí nad Labem. The Czech–German border crossing at Schönwald is invisible inside the Schengen Area — no stops, no document checks. Once in Germany, the road becomes the A17 and drops into Dresden through the Weißer Hirsch hills, arriving at your hotel or meeting point in central Dresden.

Total distance is approximately 150 kilometres. Driving time is two hours in normal conditions. Add 15–20 minutes during Friday afternoon rush hour out of Prague.

Your chauffeur watches traffic on the D8 before every departure. If there is a construction delay near Lovosice — as there has been on and off since 2024 — they reroute via the R63 without asking. You are not paying for traffic; you are paying for time.

Day Trips from Prague

Popular day-trip
configurations.

Most Prestigo clients book the Prague–Dresden route as a day trip. Three configurations cover ninety percent of requests.

The Gallery Day

Pickup at 8:30, arrive Dresden 10:30. Four hours at the Zwinger — Old Masters Gallery, Porcelain Collection, Mathematisch-Physikalischer Salon — with a lunch stop near Neumarkt. Return to Prague by 17:00.

From €500 — based on four hours on site.

The Elbe Cruise Handoff

Pickup at 7:00 in Prague. Your chauffeur delivers you directly to the Terrassenufer landing stage for a Sächsische Dampfschiffahrt river cruise, then meets you at the return pier in Pirna or Bad Schandau for the drive back.

From €350 — one-way plus pier pickup.

The Frauenkirche and Green Vault

Timed-entry tickets for the Green Vault are limited — your chauffeur pre-checks the arrival window so you walk in on time. After the Vault, half an hour at the Frauenkirche and dinner at a Neumarkt terrace before the return.

From €550 — based on five hours on site.

Indicative prices based on the scenarios above. The final fare depends on the actual time spent on site. You can book the journey there and back with a 10% same-day return discount, or add hourly city rental from €40/hour if you need the chauffeur to move around the city with you. Tell us your plan and we confirm a firm quote before you book.

The Chauffeur

What to expect
from your driver.

Your chauffeur will meet you in front of your pickup address — not in a parking lot across the street, not at an airport meeting point a ten-minute walk away. If you are at Václav Havel Airport, they are inside the arrivals hall with a Prestigo tablet displaying your name.

Conversation is a choice. If you want a quiet cabin for two hours of work or rest, the chauffeur will read that signal and let you be. If you want context on Dresden — the rebuilding of the Frauenkirche from war rubble, the story behind the Green Vault\'s restitution — your chauffeur knows it.

Phone charger, bottled water, and WiFi are already in the cabin. If you forgot a European adapter, ask. If you need a specific temperature in the rear cabin, say so. If you want to stop for coffee at the Kelti rest stop halfway to the border, that is included.
