Child seats in Prague, fitted
before you arrive.
Travelling to Prague with a baby, a toddler or a school-age child? Every Prestigo car can carry the right child seat — rear-facing infant seat, forward-facing toddler seat or booster — free of charge. Tell us your child’s age when you book and the seat is fitted and checked before the chauffeur sets off to collect you.

Families
Mercedes V-Class for several seats plus luggage
The seat is in the car
before you reach it.
The hardest part of a family arrival is often the first ten minutes: tired children, a luggage trolley, a pushchair to fold and a car that may or may not have a seat that fits. A child seat that has to be found, unpacked and strapped in at the kerb turns a short walk into a long wait.
With Prestigo the seat is already installed. When you book, you add the number of seats and each child’s age. The chauffeur fits the right seat for that age, checks the harness and the belt routing, and only then drives to the airport, hotel or station. When you reach the car, your child goes straight in.
There is no charge for child seats on any Prestigo journey — an airport transfer, an hourly booking around the city or a long drive to Vienna or Munich. The fare you see at booking stays the same whether you need one seat or none.
What we provide
A seat for every age,
set up properly.
Rear-facing infant seat
For babies from birth. The seat faces the rear of the car, which protects the head and neck of the youngest passengers. Tell us the baby’s age so we bring the right size.
Forward-facing toddler seat
For small children who have outgrown the infant seat, with a built-in harness. We match the seat to the age you give us at booking.
Booster seat
For older children who use the car’s own seat belt but are not yet tall enough for it to sit correctly across the shoulder and hips.
Fitted before pickup
Your chauffeur installs and checks each seat before setting off, so nobody is adjusting straps in an airport car park.
Free of charge
Child seats are never added to the fare. Request them at booking, with each child’s age, and they are included.
Room for the family
A Mercedes V-Class takes up to six passengers and six bags, so several child seats, adults and a pushchair travel in one car.
How to request a seat
Four steps, settled before you travel.
01
Choose the car
An E-Class suits a small family with light luggage. With several children or a lot of bags, choose the V-Class.
02
Add seats and ages
In the booking form, add the number of child seats and each child’s age. Weight or height helps too if you know it.
03
We fit the seats
Your chauffeur installs the seats and checks them before driving to your pickup point.
04
Load and go
Children go into their seats, the pushchair goes in the boot and you are on your way.
The rules in the Czech Republic
What Czech law asks
of families in a car.
As a general rule in the Czech Republic, a child who is under 150 cm tall and under 36 kg must travel in a child restraint suited to their height and weight. That applies in a chauffeur car just as it does in a private one, which is why we ask for your child’s age rather than leaving it to chance on the day.
Child seats sold in the EU are approved for a range of height or weight, and the broad stages are the same everywhere: babies travel rear-facing, toddlers move to a forward-facing seat with a harness, and older children use a booster with the adult belt until it fits them properly. If your child is between two stages, tell us their height and weight and we will choose the seat that fits.
You are welcome to bring your own seat if your child is used to it. Mention it at booking so the chauffeur knows to leave space and can help you fit it. Many parents travel with only a lightweight pushchair and use our seats instead, which saves carrying a seat through two airports.
Child seat questions
Do you provide child seats in your Prague taxis?
Yes. Prestigo provides rear-facing infant seats, forward-facing toddler seats and boosters on request, on every type of journey. Request them when you book and give each child’s age.
Is there a charge for a child seat?
No. Child seats are free of charge on every Prestigo journey, including airport transfers, hourly bookings and long-distance trips. The fixed price you see at booking does not change.
Which seat does my child need?
Babies travel in a rear-facing infant seat, toddlers in a forward-facing seat with a harness, and older children on a booster with the adult seat belt. In the Czech Republic, as a general rule, children under 150 cm and under 36 kg must use a suitable child restraint. Give us your child’s age, and height or weight if you know it, and we choose the right seat.
Will the seat be installed when the car arrives?
Yes. Your chauffeur fits and checks each seat before setting off to collect you, so it is ready when you reach the car at the airport, hotel or station.
How many child seats fit in one car?
It depends on the seats and on how much luggage you have. For families with several children, several seats and full luggage, the Mercedes V-Class is the right choice. Tell us your group when you book and we will confirm the car.
Can I bring my own car seat?
Yes. Many families prefer their own seat. Let us know at booking so we leave the space free; your chauffeur can help you fit it.
Is there room for a stroller or pram?
Yes. Folding strollers and prams go in the boot with your luggage. If you are also travelling with several large cases, choose the V-Class so everything fits in one car.
Can we stop on a long drive with young children?
Yes. On intercity journeys — to Vienna, Munich or Český Krumlov, for example — ask for a break whenever you need one, for a feed, a nappy change or a short walk. Mention it at booking if you already know you will want regular stops.
